Do
you swim regularly? Did you swim before and are thinking about
taking it up again? Can you do front crawl and breaststroke
and have always wanted to learn Butterfly? If so – come and
join up at Masters swimming at North Ayrshire.
Masters
swimming is for anyone who has an interest in swimming, likes
to swim regularly – or maybe not so regularly! and would like
to swim with others.
The
motto for masters swimming is “Fitness, Friendship and Fun”
– the second two are guaranteed at North Ayrshire and the fitness
bit is optional! However if you want to train seriously and
compete with other swimmers from different clubs throughout
Scotland this too is provided for.
We
have various training opportunities open to you. Our Masters
Coach, Sharon Welsh, supervises some, some by other coaches
and at some we follow a programme prepared for us by Sharon.
Sundays 5.30 –7.30pm at Auchenharvie Pool, Stevenston
Mondays 7 – 8pm at Vikingar Pool, Largs
Tuesdays 6 – 7am at Vikingar Pool, Largs,
8 – 9.30pm at Vikingar Pool, Largs
Thursdays 6 – 7am at Vikingar Pool, Largs
Saturdays 7.30 – 9am at Auchenharvie Pool, Stevenston
(This includes some “land” based strengthening work and
occasionally
9.15 –10am, additional strengthening work in the Dance
studio at Auchenharvie)
So
there are plenty of sessions for you to choose from.
How
much does this cost?
For
your introduction - to see if you like it and us-
You
can pay £2.50 per session for 4 sessions. Then if you
want to stay you must join the club, £25.00 per year and then
you pay £3.00 per session or
£12.00 per month, for 1 session per week, or
£17.00
per month for 2 sessions or more per week.
If
you want to pay monthly you can set up a standing order, we
will give you all the paperwork.
Once
you have joined the club you can compete, and even wear the
club cap.
If
you are interested or have any questions either contact Ann
Girvan, 01475 674971 or
e-mail info@naasc.co.uk or
just turn up at one of the sessions.
You
will be made most welcome.
Hope to see you “happy Lapping” at North Ayrshire
Swimming Club – Masters Section – very soon.
