Notices from the
Coaches
|
|
Tapering
is not required to be done by any squad member
due to insufficient milage. Therefore if competing
at the weekend there is no need to miss a
Friday night session. If competing at a weekend
please ensure extra milage is obtained the
previous or following week.
Swimmers
are not allowed to bring bottles of water
onto the poolside that have loose, clear bottle
tops. The tops could cause danger to other
swimmers by swallowing them or hurt their
feet if stood on. Water bottles csn be purchashed
at club shop.
Attendance
at Land Training could be better, especially
from the older swimmers. Both John and Andrew
give uo their free time to come along and
coach. All swimmers will benefit greatly from
the exercises give at these sessions.
The
snorkles have arrived and can be purchased
from Cathy or Jean. £6 and £8.

West District Records
|
| At
the West District Annual General Meeting it
was passed that West District records can be
achieved at any accredited meet. The onus to
claim these records is with the club. Whilst
the Secretary and Coaches will endeavour to
do this with the information they have at their
disposal, if any swimmer/parent thinks that
a record has been broken then they should bring
it to the attention of the Secretary. |
Early morning training
|
|
The
attendance at all early morning sessions is
very poor and could be greatly improved.
The club has the whole pool for these sessions,
and technique and stamina work can be tailored
towards the individual. If more advantage
is not taken for these sessions then the club
could loose this valuable pool time.
Early morning sessions are open to all silver,
gold, platinum & selected Bronze squad
members.
Wednesday and Friday at Garnock - 6-7.30am
Tuesady and Thursday at Largs - 6-7.30am
Saturday at Auchenharvie - 7.30-9am
To
increase your water time and in consequence
your performance, the above early morning
sessions have been offered to you, these
sessions
are not being fully utilised.

Payment of Entry
Fees
|
|
To
refresh your memories, the club sends
a cheque to the host club for all the entries
that have been entered for that meet. When
the accepted entries are returned to NAASC
a coloured sheet is sent to all swimmers showing
accepted/rejected entries and also the amount
of money you owe the club. This amount should
be paid to the Treasurer as soon as possible
or at least before the day of the swim. All
withdrawals after this point must be paid
for in full.
Reserve
swims - The club does not get a refund
for these swims unless the swimmer is present
at the meet and unable to get a swim on the
day. Reserve swimmers who do not turn up still
have to pay for the entry.
